Sarah Quenon is a combination self-taught and formally-trained artist and jewelry designer living in Boulder, Colorado. She draws inspiration from her own vivid inner world with an emphasis on the desire to transmute the challenges of life by turning proverbial lead into gold.
She has a background in found object work and cold-connections, as well as an expansive knowledge of vintage and antique beads, chains, cabochons and other jewelry findings.
In 2016 she completed a light metals residency at The Steelyard in Providence, RI, where she worked to develop her skills as a metalsmith.
In 2004 Sarah began her love affair with jewelry by working at Austin’s largest bead store, Bead It, a truly unique place that specializes in antique and vintage treasures ranging from the late 1800s to the 1970s. She is a former artist-in-residence at AS220 in Providence, RI.
